Accessibility statement

We want NHS Direct to be usable by as many people as possible. This statement explains what we have done, where we know we fall short, and how to tell us about problems.

  • Uses colour contrast that meets or exceeds AA thresholds
  • Provides visible focus indicators on interactive elements
  • Uses semantic HTML with a clear heading hierarchy
  • Has a skip-to-content link at the top of every page
